Diesel, a fashion brand many of us are familiar with, are making a mockery of Global Warming? While some call this humorous others are taking this situation seriously. I find that this "Global Warming Ready" campaign is totally contradicting and therefore, so is my opinion on the issue.
Diesel's media campaign has become "global warming ready" for their spring/summer collection of clothing. They are taking a serious global issue and pointing out that..."hey, there will be more beaches!"
Yet, there is the commonly used phrase, the only bad advertising is no advertising...
So, could this ad campaign by Diesel, be helping educate more people on global warming issues? Well, my anwser is yes. Even though in bad taste, the ad campaign is showing what natural disasters could arise in the future. Diesel is also encouraging people to buy, Al Gore's movie, An Inconvient Truth on their website.
So all in all, yes Diesel is making a mockery of Global Warming to sell their new line of clothing. Yet, they are helping more and more people become aware of the issue of Global Warming, and that's good enough for me!

I agree with you on this topic - while Diesel is getting some attention to the effects of global warming, they are also sort of making fun of it.
In the video after all the information regarding global warming was presented, the ad continued with "Hold On! Global warming cannot stop our lives!"
It then showed many images of people at a club, etc. continuing their lives as before.
My first reaction to this was that Diesel was saying, while all these consequences are occurring because of our behaviour, that doesn't mean we should do anything about it, just look good as it happens!
